Nový Svêt - Nuevo Babylon

Well regarding this album there's not much that I can say, it's not a group that I'm very familiar with, and well I can't tell lies nor truths about it, but well at least I'm gonna give you some info. New Babylon is part of a boxset of LP's called Noi e il Mondo, and it was restricted to 100 copies, the cd is just great, adictive in fact, as the rest of the Nový Svêt's works, to honor the truth the album is not great, it's celestial, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Con referencia a este disco la verdad es que no puedo decir mucho, no es un grupo que tenga mucha tiempo de oir, y la verdad no puedo decir verdades ni mentiras acerca de ellos, pero al menos les daré unos datos de la producción de Nuevo Babylon este disco es parte de una colección llamada Noi e il mondo, y su tiraje fue restringido a 100 copias, el disco está genial, la verdad es prácticamente adictivo, como todos los demás trabajos que he podido oir de esta banda, la verdad está mejor que bueno, está celestial, muy recomendado.

Blood Axis & Les Joyaux De La Princesse - Absinthia Taetra

This cd is from two giants Les Joyeaux de la Princesse and Blood Axis, when I realized of the existence of such disc I went for it with great anxiety, but then I realized that well... it's not a bad album (believe me it's not), but shamefully not a great album neither, it just didn't satisfied my urge for listening a collaboration between such great artists, I would like to hear a more decadent ambient, more lascivious, more high, nevertheless it's a good piece of art, I like the extracts of old songs that sound like a gramophone play. Now well the vocal interpretation is entirely on the Blood Axis part, and it's mostly recitated, and it may seem that I'm burying this album it's not... on the contraire is a nice cd and worth listening to it, you just can't miss the chance of take a look of such a great combination, the concept is just great and it's a whole shame that they can't exploited in a better way.

Este disco es de dos grandes Les Joyaux de la Princesse y Blood Axis, cuando me di cuenta de la existencia de este disco la verdad es que lo busqué con gran expectativa, solo para darme cuenta que si bien no es un disco malo, tampoco sació mis ansias por ver una colaboración por parte de ambos grupos, a mi gusto le faltó talvez darle un carácter más decadente, lascivo, más "high", sin embargo es una buena obra, me gustan los extractos de canciones con ese sonido a gramófono, por otro lado la interpretación vocal corre por completo por parte de Blood Axis, la cual es mayormente recitada y no cantada, y aunque parece más bien que estoy dando por menos el disco es muy digno de oirlo, la verdad uno no puede perderse la oportunidad de oir a dos grandes como estos colaborando, el concepto del disco es muy interesante pero se hubiese podido explotar de mejor manera.

Human Drama - Cause and Effect

I think is the one of the last Human Drama's cd, a darkwave and gothic rock band from the USA, the sound of the record is just great, without a doubt their best production, it's melancholic like every other work of them, but now you can feel the special halo, so subtle, so delicious, it simply takes you away, every song carry that tragic or impossible love, the melodies and warm but lugubrious and solitaries, as if it whispers to the lyrics, it also contains a couple of covers Bang the Drum Slowly from Emmylou Harris and Dance me to the End of Love from Leonard Cohen, both performances are exquisite and are totally at the level of the original songs. Well this is a cd for spite and dedicate.

Creo que este es el penúltimo disco de Human Drama un grupo estadounidense de rock gótico y darkwave, el sonido de este disco es espectacular, es sin duda alguna su mejor obra, es melancólico como todos sus trabajos pero este agrega un hálito especial, tan tenue, tan sabroso, simplemente lo transporta a uno, todas las canciones siempre llevan ese mensaje de amor trágico o imposible, las melodias cálidas pero lúgubres, solitarias como si le susurrara un consuelo a la letra, también tiene un par de covers Bang the Drum Slowly de Emmylou Harris y Dance me to the End of Love de Leonard Cohen, ambos son perfectos y le hacen mérito a las canciones originales, en fin este disco es para despechar y dedicar.

Vintersorg - Solens Rötter

This is the last production of Andreas Sven Hedlund with the group Vintersorg (also his nickname), it is called Solens Rötter (The Origin of the Sun), in this cd we can see how Vintersorg retake its first sounds Till Fjälls-like, with that old nature feeling, with a more folk sound than in his past works like Cosmic Genesis, The Focusing Blur or Visions from the Spiral Generator, since we can hear the abundance of flutes and strings, plus some really cool acoustic guitars, the voice overpass the work in Ödemarkens Son, the best vocal work before Solens Rotter, for me it's a breath of fresh air how the group is going back to its roots, and don't misunderstand me it's not like I despise the more "cosmic" work, during this phase you can see the musical growing like in the Focusing Blur, but on the other hand the Nature work sounds so much delightful, and well don't think that this is just a remake of the Till Fjälls, in every note you can sense the experimentation. Sincerely Vintersorg is one of the few bands that didn't lost their misticism and esence thru the pass of the years and Solens Rötter is just a piece of art.

Esta es la última producción de Andreas Sven Hedlund con el grupo Vintersorg (el cual también es su alias), se llama Solens Rötter (El origen del Sol), en este disco podemos ver como Vintersorg retoma los sonidos de sus inicios más a lo Till Fjälls, una cuestión más acerca de la naturaleza con sonidos más Folk de lo que presentaba en sus anteriores propuestas como Cosmic Genesis, The Focusing Blur o Visions from the Spiral Generator, ya que abundan las cuerdas y flautas, las voces a mi criterio sobrepasan el trabajo en Ödemarkens Son, donde se encuentra la mejor demostración de voz de este tipo, la verdad para mi es una bocanada de aire fresco el ver de nuevo como se repliega a sus raices, y no es que me desagrade para nada el trabajo en el ámbito cósmico, de hecho en The Focusing Blur se puede ver un gran crecimiento en materia musical, pero a mi parecer le sienta mucho mejor esta temática de la naturaleza, sin embargo esto no es un refrito del Till Fjälls, sino que se puede oir en cada compas mucha experimentación, sinceramente Vintersorg es una de las pocas bandas que podemos decir que con el paso del tiempo no han perdido su misticismo ni su esencia y Solens Rötter es una obra de arte que sobrepasó mi expectativas.

Ataraxia - Lost Atlantis

O.K, here we go with the tenth production from the italian band Ataraxia, this record, from my tight point of view of course, it's a momentum in the whole band line of composing, we had always seen Ataraxia going from the Neo-classical to the Neo-Medieval, but this cd shows itself a little more atmospheric, escaping from this both sub-genres, same way we see that this band after 10 production hasn't lost its freshness and innovation, making good proposals for its fans, the guitars are good enough, and you can ask for more from the voices of Francesca Nicoli and Vittorio Vandelli, the vocals run from the peaceful and quiet to the schizophrenic, a very nice disc to enjoy with a coffee and a good cigarrette.

Vamos con el décimo disco de la banda italiana Ataraxia, este disco a mi parecer es una pauta entre los discos anteriores, ya que siempre hemos visto a Ataraxia andar entre los lados del Neo-clásico y el Neo-medieval, sin embargo, este disco se muestra un poco más atmosférico escapando a esas dos nominaciones, igual vemos que para tener ya 10 producciones en su haber este grupo sigue innovando y haciendo buenas propuestas, las guitarras como siempre majestuosas, a la voz de Francesa Nicoli y Vittorio Vandelli no se le puede pedir más, las voces van de lo apaciguado a lo esquizofrénico, muy buen disco para disfrutar.

Of Wand and the Moon - Nighttime nightrhymes

A gorgeous cd from this danish neo-folk band, this is the first record of the only member, Kim Larsen, there's a lot of people that don't penetrate to the world of Neo-Folk, because they consider the genre quite boring, well this cd is completely different from everything else, the acoustic guitars are just magicals, the lyrics have a whole ranging of explosive emotions and feelings, from love and loss or joy, to germanic paganism, this is not pure neo-folk, take it as an intermediate moment, more sounds and active, beautiful in every sense, the whispered voice throughout the whole cd just help to intensify the experience, it's a good deal for the people that haven't decided wether enter or not into the dark side of the folk and the martial music.

Espléndido disco de esta banda de Neo-folk, la primera composición de su único miembro Kim Larsen, hay mucha gente que no penetra en el mundo del Neo-Folk porque la experiencia se le hace aburrida, pues este no es el caso de este disco, las guitarras acústicas son geniales, las letras tienen toda una gama de sentimiento y emociones de amor, pérdida, regocijo e incluso paganismo germánico, esta experiencia no es solo neo-folk, es un momento intermedio, más movido, hermoso en todo sentido, las voces susurradas durante todo el disco solamente ayudan a intensificar la experiencia, es un excelente disco para los que no se han decidio entrar de lleno a ese lado más oscuro del folk y la música marcial, espero y lo disfruten.

Ö Paradis - Serpiente de Luna, Serpiente de Sol

Ok here we go with this brilliant album from the guys of Ö Paradis, a spanish band that focuses in the spoken word and folk genres, their sound rock, their lyrics are poem-like, even when you don't speak spanish this record deserve a nice hearing, go and look for the translations, the lyrics are awesome and the ambient enshrouds you into a dark gloomy atmosphere, the voices are great too, it's a master piece from Demian (the only member of the group) hope you find it pleasant and enjoy listening to it.

Bueno este brillante albun de la banda de un solo hombre española Ö Paradis, quien se centra en la realización de discos de género Spoken Word y Folk, su sonido es genial, las letras van enfrascadas en un hálito de poema, el ambiente que causa la música es casi onírico como si todo tuviese una capa de niebla sobre el, las melodias transgreden de los sutil a lo psicodélico en cuestion de segundos muy muy expresivas y sentidas, otra joya del señor Demian, espero que lo encuentren bastante productivo y les guste de verdad, saludos.
