Nový Svêt & Ö Paradis - Entre Siempre y Jamas Suben las Mareas, Duermen las Ciudades

Some days ago I reviewed Destello de Estrellas en la Frente the second collaboration between Nový Svêt & Ö Paradis, so in honor to the music I decided to upload the first one Entre Siempre y Jamas Suben las Mareas, Duermen las Ciudades (Between Never and Always the Tides Arise and the Cities Sleep) this album at my criteria is way better than "destello..." the voices are just great, anyways Juergen Weber (Nový Svêt) is a great influence to Demian, and you can really feel the intensity of the presence of Weber, the album may be classified as Pop, or neo-folk or whatever, or like Demian himself classify it "Honest Pop." The vocal side is very well splitted in one hand we have Demian's voice, nostalgic, cold, sad, and in the other hand Weber's voice rough and eager, the instrumental side is full of nice experimentation, with some avant-garde notions, the bass lines are just great, is way more melodic than their 2nd collaboration, the album may not have the greatness of Serpiente De Luna, Serpiente De Sol but is a great piece of art, how the voices are entwined with the musical elements is just great.... Hace unos dias hice el review de Destello de Estrellas en la Frente la segunda colaboración entre Nový Svêt & Ö Paradis, así que en honor a la colección decidí revisar Entre Siempre y Jamas Suben las Mareas, Duermen las Ciudades, el cual a mi criterio es bastante mejor que "Destello..." las voces son sublimes, muy bien repartido ese lado ya que en un extremo tenemos a Demian con su voz sorda, nostálgica, fria, triste, casi indefensa y en el otro tenemos a Weber con su voz áspera y ansiosa, por el lado instrumental la manera en que se conectan estos con las voces es genial, casi a manera de capas de piel delicadamente superpuestas, mucho más melódico que la segunda colaboración, el disco está plagado de experimentación (algo muy común en Nový Svêt) con cierta tendencia Avant-Garde y podría ser fácilmente clasificado como Neo-folk o Post-marcial pero mejor dejémoslo, como dice el mismo Demian, en "Pop Honesto" y aunque este trabajo no llegue a ser Serpiente De Luna, Serpiente De Sol, en grandeza, es toda una obra de arte... asi que disfruten.

Of Wand and the Moon - Nighttime nightrhymes

A gorgeous cd from this danish neo-folk band, this is the first record of the only member, Kim Larsen, there's a lot of people that don't penetrate to the world of Neo-Folk, because they consider the genre quite boring, well this cd is completely different from everything else, the acoustic guitars are just magicals, the lyrics have a whole ranging of explosive emotions and feelings, from love and loss or joy, to germanic paganism, this is not pure neo-folk, take it as an intermediate moment, more sounds and active, beautiful in every sense, the whispered voice throughout the whole cd just help to intensify the experience, it's a good deal for the people that haven't decided wether enter or not into the dark side of the folk and the martial music.

Espléndido disco de esta banda de Neo-folk, la primera composición de su único miembro Kim Larsen, hay mucha gente que no penetra en el mundo del Neo-Folk porque la experiencia se le hace aburrida, pues este no es el caso de este disco, las guitarras acústicas son geniales, las letras tienen toda una gama de sentimiento y emociones de amor, pérdida, regocijo e incluso paganismo germánico, esta experiencia no es solo neo-folk, es un momento intermedio, más movido, hermoso en todo sentido, las voces susurradas durante todo el disco solamente ayudan a intensificar la experiencia, es un excelente disco para los que no se han decidio entrar de lleno a ese lado más oscuro del folk y la música marcial, espero y lo disfruten.
